The UK Tank Club exists to promote R/C Tanks in the UK & to organize events for members to display & run their tanks (battle days) at display days and shows. Radio control models start from 1/35th scale right up to a massive 1/6th scale and our members have examples of them all.
We also intend to organize trips to European Museums & Collections plus other special events.

The inaugural meeting of the UK Tank club took place on the weekend of 30thSep/1stOct 2000 at the South West Model Expo held at the Bovington Tank Museum. From there the club has grown to the point where it has a regular attendance pattern of shows throughout the year.  Have a look at the events listing to see where we'll be next.

The club has a constitution & a basic set of rules, which exist to enable our models to be displayed in safety in front of the public. These rules are simple but important as some of these models could cause injury.

To join the club please send your details to

The Club Officers (currently) are.
Secretary - John  Holland
President - Vacant
Chairman - Dave Pengelly

We have discovered from the shows we have attended so far, that a lot of people do not have daily or regular access to the internet or e-mail, so to facilitate the promotion of the club & cover basic running costs, a membership fee will be charged, this is 20 per year. Membership includes Third party liability insurance organized via the BMFA (British Model Flying Association).

If you know of any events in your area of the UK that you think we should attend, let us know & we will endeavour to do so. Check on the Events page regularly to see where we'll be.
